AC diesel generator set is capable of changing mechanical energy into electrical energy. Such AC generator set adopts the principle of production of single phase alternating current. It is driven by prime motor so as to rotate A, R rotor winding. That’s to say, alternating inductive electromotive force is generated in the conductor. Slip ring and electric brush should be used to lead the current to external circuit. Made of copper or cast steel, slip ring is fixed on spindle. Insulation is needs between spindles. Electric brush rack is fastened to the stator of AC diesel generator set. Spring is adopted to compress the brush on the slip ring so as to guarantee good contact.
