Refrigerated Air Dryer

Description
Refrigerated air dryer is composed of heat exchange system, cooling system and electrical control system. It is applicable in various fields and industries, such as spray coating, pneumatic equipment, electron, plastic, instrument making field and chemical, food processing, medical, furniture and textile industry. With refrigerated compressed air dryer, the water in compressed air is frozen below dew point and is dissolved out from the air.

Maintenance
1. Items that need checking before start-up.
Check the supply voltage, phase number and frequency. Examine whether power cord connection is up to specification.
Check whether all pipe couplings are fastened.
Check if the cooling system is normal. (If the pressure is below 0.2 MPa, please inform our agency or service department as soon as possible.)
Check whether the refrigerated air dryer is well placed and whether the temperature is up to requirements.
Check whether the ball valve in front of automatic drain valve is open.
Check if the inlet temperature surpasses the rated value.
Start up refrigerated compressed air dryer first, and after stable operation, feed into compressed air. Stop compressed air and close refrigerated air dryer and empty the air inside the pipe so as not to influence the air quality.
2. Start and Run
Deliver the power into control cabinet and press button “ON”. Open the pilot lamp. The value on refrigerant low pressure meter should between 60 psig and 85 psig. Regulate the pressure according to evaporating pressure regulating requirements if it is not within the scope. After refrigerated air dryer works with stability, the pressure on refrigerant high pressure gauge raises to 120 psig to 240 psig. If it is above the scope, please check the condenser heat dissipation, inlet temperature and environmental temperature. If the pressure is below 140 psig, please open the freeze-proofing switch and the condenser fan stops so as to improve the pressure and guarantee normal operation. If the machine is running under low temperature for long time, please check whether the cooling system leaks or the air temperature is too low. If operators want to restart refrigerated air dryer, they should wait for more than three minutes after refrigerated compressed air dryer stops so as to avoid damage to the compressor.
The valve on the machine has been adjusted before delivery. Laypeople should not adjust the valve in order to avoid unnecessary damage.
3. Close
Close the air compressor before shutting down refrigerated air dryer. Press “OFF” button after stopping air compressor. And power off the refrigerated compressed air dryer at last.
4. Refrigerated Air Dryer Debugging (Evaporating Pressure Adjusting)
Regulate heat by-pass valve after the refrigerant low pressure deviates from normal value. When evaporating pressure is below 0.4 MPa, R-22 refrigerant is adopted and hex wrench is utilized to adjust heat by-pass valve clockwise so as to deliver the hot air into the system and increase evaporating temperature. When the evaporating temperature is above 0.5MPa, hex wrench is adopted to adjust heat side valve counterclockwise so as to lower the temperature.
When R-12 refrigerant is employed, the evaporating pressure should between 0.18 MPa and 0.32 MPa. If the pressure is below 0.18 MPa or above 0.32 MPa, adjust the heat by-pass valve.
Check the machine load, air temperature, inlet temperature and condenser before adjusting heat by-pass valve. If the above values cannot meet requirements after adjustment, please contact our dealers. The evaporating pressure has been adjusted before delivery, so it is not necessary to adjust the pressure if it doesn’t change.
